Yoga Galway - IMPROVERS Class for Increased Health & Vitality.

My improvers class integrates mindfulness with Vinyasa (flowing movement synchronised with the breath) and traditional Hatha Yoga.  This approach is extremely popular with people who are committed to bringing about meaningful change into their lives. The style is creative, gentle and inspirational, while at the same time giving attention to alignment, thus prioritising the health promoting qualities of the practice.  I am particularly keen on students integrating their practice into everyday life and I therefore offer moments for reflection upon your individual needs and aspirations.

While exercise & diet are the essential building blocks to good health, dealing with the mental and emotional stresses in your life is central to any sustainable health care routine.

Integrating the mind into the healing process is fundamental!

This inspiring personal development approach to yoga is a unique blend of mindfulness, creative sequences, as well as visualisations to enable people to reach their full potential, improve fitness & restore vitality.

Content for improvers: Each week we will build the foundations of a healthy yoga practice.  Starting with Asana (posture) and moving through breathing, meditation & the essential qualities of yoga as a life-enhancing practice.

In these classes you will:

  • Discover simple & easy ways to relax, improve health, well-being & fitness.

  • Kick-start your week with renewed energy & optimism.

  • Improve flexibility, strength, stamina & physical well-being.

  • Learn how to use mindfulness & yoga for personal transformation.

  • Explore how to reduce the triggers that deplete energy, both in the workplace and at home.

It took me a long while to find a yoga instructor that ticked all the boxes for me.

Anna is a wonderfully engaging Lady who I connected with on day one. Anna has a truly warm nature and this comes across in every yoga direction during her classes. Every step is explained with a warm encouraging tone in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Anna’s ability to direct an end of session mindfulness set is what I look forward to in each class, her hypnotic tone and gentle words always have me so deeply relaxed that I don’t want the class to end.

As I have looked forward to Anna’s weekly yoga classes for the last year, I had zero hesitation in attending a day retreat that she was planning in Clarinbridge. The setting was amazingly tranquil, the yoga and mindfulness throughout the day only added to the depth of unwinding that took place for me. The food that we learnt about and that we were served complemented total the mindfulness theme of the day.

In summary I would have no hesitation in recommending Anna as a yoga instructor or Anna’s retreats to anyone.

Anna is one in a million, a real Galway treasure.

Anna’s class has had a fantastic effect on my physical, mental and emotional well-being, to come from where I was when I started to where I am now is thanks to Anna. Not only does she teach you yoga moves, she also explains why we do each move, how to fully relax & de-stress. I would totally recommend Anna as a yoga teacher, as well as being a truly lovely lady.

“The most wonderful hour you will ever spend in the company of this wonderful lady.  Her gentle holistic approach to yoga is refreshing. The most important person in Anna’s class is you and your body.  No stress in getting the perfect pose, it’s all about what is perfect for you right now. Blended with mindfulness makes it most enjoyable.  I love it and am so looking forward to the remainder of the programme. ”
